Project Summary
As part of the Latino Leadership Academy, a group of five individuals undertook a community project aimed at assisting students in the Burlington and Mount Vernon school districts.
This PowerPoint provides an overview of the Running Start Program. Running Start is a state program that enables high school students, both from public and private schools, to take college-level courses.
General Objective
To provide information about Running Start in both English and Spanish.
Specific Objectives
The Running Start Program is a state initiative for young people to enroll and take college-level classes. We aimed to compare Running Start programs in nearby colleges.
Results or Contributions
We sent our PowerPoint to the Mount Vernon and Burlington School Districts so they could share it with their families. We were limited to presenting in person due to COVID-19.
